Family Project Spotlight
Alan Vickers | Chase Away Fentanyl
Alan and Annie Vickers are, above all, loving parents honoring the memory of their son, Chase. From the age of 14 until 31, Chase battled addiction, cycling in and out of treatment. Tragically, on January 16, 2024, he succumbed to an overdose. That morning, his family found him on the bedroom floor, called 911, and began CPR – but they didn’t have Narcan to reverse the overdose.
The loss of Chase was devastating, but Alan and Annie channeled their grief into action. They founded Chase Away Fentanyl, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about the opioid crisis and ensuring that Narcan becomes a household staple, saving lives across the nation.

25 in 25 Initiative
We’re driving 25 in ‘25!
This National Call to Action challenges every Council to dedicate 25% of their annual budget to combat the opioid crisis. Key strategies include providing free overdose reversal medications to the public and securing celebrity sponsorships for awareness campaigns. We won’t stop pushing for 25 in ‘25 until there’s a 25% reduction in overdose deaths in these regions. Together, we can accelerate change.
We’re honored to be your advocate on the national stage because we truly believe this is a fight we’re in together. And as a valued partner, your voice matters.
We’d love to hear your ideas about what’s needed in your local community or in national policy. Your input helps shape the future of our initiatives and advocacy efforts.
